Westport News: Stolen Car Arrest
#Westport Connecticut--At Approximately 9:00 a.m. on February 24, 2016, Officers were dispatched to a Silver Brook Road address on a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The complainant advised that the car was taken from his driveway at some point during the overnight hours. On March 10, 2016 the vehicle was recovered in Waterbury, CT. The car was then towed back to the Westport Police Department so that Detectives could examine it in the hopes of retrieving physical evidence. One of the items found in the car was an Arizona Iced Tea Can which the complainant said was not in the car at the time of the theft. Fingerprints were “lifted” from this can and sent to the CT State…
