Fallen Bridgeport Officer Charged In False Report On Hate Letters

#Bridgeport CT--According to a Connecticut State Police arrest warrant application dated November 24, 2015  charged Clive Higgins who resigned from the Bridgeport Police Department on July 6, 2015 with allegedly falsely reporting and incident in the second degree after stating he found a racially charged "hate letter" in his personal mailbox at the the Bridgeport Police Department on February 9, 2015.  Higgins surrendered himself at Troop I in Bethany after learning of the outstanding warrant for his arrest.  He was processed and released on a written promise to appear at GA2 in Bridgeport on December 12, 2015.  The letter was written on Bridgeport Police letterhead.  The letter was sent to the forensic crime lab and video footage from the Bridgeport…

A Holiday Kids Will Never Forget!

Connecticut Law Enforcement and The REACH Foundation join forces to strengthen their community outreach while helping families with financial hardship. Over 250 participants at three Connecticut Target locations will shop for their loved ones and community this holiday season. Police are paired with Connecticut children to assist with the child’s shopping list. Over 30 Connecticut State Troopers are set to participate in Shop with a Cop. Shop with a Cop is a program that provides a unique holiday experience for underprivileged children during the holiday season.
