Westport News: Woman Arrested In Burglary

On Thursday May 21st, 2015 Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress to a residence on Grove Point Road. The complainant reported that a female had attempted to enter their residence. When the suspect could not gain entry because the door was locked, they watched her walk over to the neighbor’s house and enter his residence. Knowing that the homeowner was home when the suspect had entered the neighbor’s house the complainants attempted to call him while calling the police. Arriving officers located the suspect inside the residence. The homeowner had confronted the suspect and directed officers to her location. #MILFORD CT – Devon Rotary held its semi-annual Service Above Self awards breakfast on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 at the Bridge House Restaurant in Milford, CT.  The awardees are Joseph Romick-Barrell from Jonathan Law High School, Monica Capriglione from Platt Tech, Jamiah Bennett from Lauralton Hall, and Emma Bromley from Foran High School. #ctfire--UPDATE: This house was in foreclosure and scheduled for auction on Friday: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/206-208-Scofield-Ave-Bridgeport-CT-06605/2102708925_zpid/   Just after 3:30 Thursday morning firefighter received numerous calls for a fire at 206 Scofield Avenue. When I arrived about six minutes after hearing the call the 2nd floor and attic were fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were already on scene and had begun an impressive interior attack that kept the fire confined to the second floor. I met with the first floor occupants, 3 males who made it out safely.
