Bridgeport News: Police Investigating 6th Homicide

12:56pm--Bridgeport CT--Police Press Release: Detectives are investigating a homicide that happened this afternoon on Park Avenue.  The victim has been identified as Ryan Hernandez, 21, of Bridgeport. He was shot at least once in the chest and taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The incident happened in the 1300 block of Park Avenue near Olive Street. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and are securing any security video from the area that will could identify the vehicle or suspects. The car in which the suspects fled was described as a dark-colored sedan. Witnesses reported observing an altercation between the suspect and the victim prior to the gunfire. 7:50pm--#Trumbull CT--Firefighters were called to 37 Hemlock Trail for smoke coming from a building.  Apparently no one answered the door and firefighters had to force entry.  It turned out to be food burning on the stove. Los bomberos fueron llamados a 37 Hemlock Trail de humo saliendo de un edificio. Al parecer, nadie respondió a la puerta y los bomberos tuvieron que forzar la entrada. 6:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called to Went Park for shots fired.  They arrived but found no victim.  After investigating they found shell casings and blood splattered on a car at Cottage and Norman Street. A short time later a person showed up at St. Vincent's with a gunshot wound.  The victim was robbed of his bicycle.  Police are looking for a black male wearing black shorts on the stolen bicycle, a red BMX with red spray paint on the handlebars.  He fled towards Wording Avenue.    Police are investigating.
