Fairfield News: Fire caused by unattended candle
6:11pm--#Fairfield CT- The Fairfield Fire Department responded to a report of a building fire at 40 Cider Mill Lane. Engine 4 arrived on scene 5 minutes after receipt of the 911 call and reported seeing visible smoke coming from the second floor of a house. Firefighters quickly determined that there was a fire on the second floor of the house and searched the entire building to make sure all occupants and pets were safely removed from the house. Additional fire units responded to the scene and worked to the confine the fire to the second floor bathroom. 4:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A car pulled over on Lindley Street for a traffic stop takes off and ends Wells Street ends in a foot pursuit in backyards. Man has been captured in the 100 block of Gem Avenue in a backyard.
Fairfield News: Video of Cumberland Farms Crash
#Fairfield CT--Fairfield Police released surveillance video from the crash at Cumberland Farms last night. I've rolled the video back twice to see the speed at which the car hits the building. Watch the car that almost crossed in front of the car as it came off the ramp. The driver is expected to be charged with DWI and driving with a suspended license.
