6:11pm--#Fairfield CT- The Fairfield Fire Department responded to a report of a building fire at 40 Cider Mill Lane. Engine 4 arrived on scene 5 minutes after receipt of the 911 call and reported seeing visible smoke coming from the second floor of a house. Firefighters quickly determined that there was a fire on the second floor of the house and searched the entire building to make sure all occupants and pets were safely removed from the house. Additional fire units responded to the scene and worked to the confine the fire to the second floor bathroom. Some fire extended to the attic through a bathroom exhaust fan but did not cause significant damage to the roof or structure. The…
6:10pm--#Fairfield CT-- An alert employee at the Subway at 3363 Post Road called police that a white male attempted to pay with a counterfeit bill. Last seen headed towards I-95 on the Post Road with Michigan plates on his car.
5:09pm--#Shelton CT--Firefighters on the way to a chimney fire at 16 Fieldstone Road.
5:04pm--#cttraffic--2 accidents both northbound. One near exit 24 car versus truck and one near exit 27 also northbound.
4:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A car pulled over on Lindley Street for a traffic stop takes off and ends Wells Street ends in a foot pursuit in backyards. Man has been captured in the 100 block of Gem Avenue in a backyard.
#Fairfield CT--Fairfield Police released surveillance video from the crash at Cumberland Farms last night. I've rolled the video back twice to see the speed at which the car hits the building. Watch the car that almost crossed in front of the car as it came off the ramp. The driver is expected to be charged with DWI and driving with a suspended license.
3:07pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Report of a silver BMW with several bullet holes in it at Newfield Avenue and Orange Street.
2:18pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Report of a Bridgeport Sanitation truck on fire in front of Winthrop Middle School, 85 Eckart Street. Update-- Paper touching the manifold caused the quite minor fire.

Governor Nancy Wyman, and Access Health CT CEO Kevin Counihan will hold a news conference in East Hartford to remind residents about the impending March 31 deadline to sign up for affordable health care through Access Health CT, Connecticut’s health care exchange. In the afternoon, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman will join Americans United for Change at an event in Hartford to urge Congress to vote in favor of President Obama’s plan to raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour.
