7:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--A brief foot pursuit with police on Cottage Street. It wasn't clear what the person was wanted for but he was tased and a firearm was recovered.

6:06pm--#Fairfield CT-- A Greenfield Street resident received a call that her son was kidnapped and "he would not be released until the gave them money". Police and the detective bureau investigated and after a brief search found the son safe and sound. The phone call originated from Puerto Rico. This same scam happened last year to a Housatonic University student, police locked down a portion of downtown to find it too was a scam. If you receive a call from area code 945 there is no area code in the United States and if you Google the area code it is host to a number of scams so be ware of that area code!
Fairfield police and animal control are looking for help identifying an animal found dismembered on Jennings Beach on March 31. A jogger made the grisly discovery. Fairfield Sun has the full story here......
