Police have located a truck leaking oil, possibly the vehicle responsible for the oil on the highway. The truck is at Lordship Boulevard at Eagles Nest. Bridgeport News: Both Victims Pass In Success Av Fire

On July 14, 2023, at approximately 4:20 am the Bridgeport and Stratford Fire Departments responded to Building 86 Success Village on the report of a structure fire.  Bridgeport Police Officers also responded to secure and control the scene as firefighters battled the fire and searched for victims.  The Success Village Apartments are a housing community cooperative located on the East Side of Bridgeport. Bridgeport firefighters rescued two victims from the building.  Both were transported to Bridgeport Hospital with critical injuries.  The male victim, identified as 88-year-old Jose Pizarro, died at the hospital later that morning on July 14th.  The female victim has been identified as Mr. Pizarro’s wife Rose.  Mrs. Rose Pizarro passed away this afternoon (June 17, 2023) at the hospital.…

Milford News- Domestic Violence Assault On July 11, 2023, officers responded to a domestic violence incident near Wheelers Farm Road. Upon arrival, an officer observed a vehicle flee at a high rate of speed. They spoke to the victim who was visibly shaken and upset, sitting in their vehicle. The victim had bruising to their face and an abrasion on their leg. The victim said that Roswell Menefee from Taft Avenue in Bridgeport had dragged the victim out of the shower and began arguing with them. Ansonia Homicide

On July 14, 2023 at about 1:40 P.M., the Ansonia Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired and a person shot on Hodge Avenue. First officers on scene found a male in the driveway of 124 Hodge Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The male, Abduljalil Humphrey age 30 of Ansonia, was transported to Griffin Hospital where he was pronounced dead. During the initial investigation two cars were identified as being involved in the incident and the Ansonia Police Department is attempting to locate the cars.
