Racism Charges Cited For Bridgeport’s Former Top Cop

#Bridgeport CT-- Known as "Officer 1" in the federal investigation of former Chief of Police AJ Perez, former Bridgeport Police Captain Mark Straubel has filed lawsuit on the City Of Bridgeport, Armando J Perez, former Bridgeport police union steward Charles Paris and the union itself the Local 1159 AFSCME Council 4. Chief AJ Perez was Mayor Joseph Ganim's driver during Ganim's first term in office during the 90's. The mayor has denied any knowledge of the former chief illegally rigging the selection process for the position of chief of police. POLICE UPDATE: Police say  a black male victim, heavy set, approximate age late 20's, shot in the leg, left area on foot.   2021-08-15@1:24pm--#Bridgeport CT--A person was shot in the 100 block of Catherine Street. In the picture police investigate a car whose windows were shot up. Unknown if the victim was in the car at the time of the shooting. The victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

#Westport CT-- On March 26, 2018, the Westport Police began to investigate a stolen check complaintthat was lodged by a local resident. The complainant stated that his financial institution hadmailed him new checks which he said were never received.
