Bridgeport News: Pellet/BB Gun Shootings

2020-12-07@11:12am--#Bridgeport CT-- Three reports of people being shot by either a pellet or BB gun this morning. Police say a person was shot by a pellet gun on East Main Street near Crescent Street. Another incident occurred at in the 700 block of Myrtle Avenue (pictured) where a man was shot in the left cheek (face cheek) and was taken to the hospital. Another person was shot at State and Iranistan Avenue but left before police or EMS arrived.

HARTFORD, CT)– Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he has received notification from the White House that his request to extend the federal authorization of the Connecticut National Guard’s support to the State of Connecticut for its ongoing response to the COVID-19 public health emergency has been approved through March 31, 2021. The federal government will provide the state with a 75 percent cost-share for this period. Previously, the state was authorized to use the National Guard with a 100 percent federal cost share from April 2 through September 30.
