Bridgeport News: Arrest Made In August Homicide

#Bridgeport – The Bridgeport Police Department today announced an arrest was made in the August 27, 2016 murder of Shane Slinsky.  An arrest warrant was served on Jeremy Middleton (DOB: 4/17/98 of Stamford, CT), charging him with his role in the August 27, 2016 murder of Shane Slinsky.  The evidence revealed that the victim, Shane Slinsky was brought to Bridgeport from Stamford by three men that he believed were his friends.  Their true intention was to rob him.  When they stopped in front of 21 Wood Terrace, Slinsky was shot and killed. Members of the Bridgeport Detective Bureau worked closely with members of the Stamford Police Department to resolve this case. Middleton is charged with Felony Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in the First Degree, and Larceny in the Third Degree. He is being held on a $500,000 bond and additional arrests are expected in this case.

Bridgeport News: Baby In Stroller Hit By Car

11:55am–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Police are seen in this photo taking a stroller into evidence.  A child was hit by a car on Barnum Avenue near Noble Avenue.  Police said the child was not seriously injured and was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Man Flees After Police Find Drugs in Car

(Bridgeport, CT – March 27, 2013) – A city man was jailed on $50,000 bond after a motor vehicle stop netted narcotics.

Officers Angel Vazquez and Keith Hanson were patrolling in the Safe School Corridor near Bassick High School Tuesday when they were alerted by Officer Adam Roscoe, who is assigned to the DEA Task Force, about a vehicle that made a suspiciously brief stop at a house on Sherwood Avenue. Police had information about heroin being sold out of the location.

Vazquez and Hanson spotted the Infiniti coupe and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Rose Shea, 25, of East Haven was driving. Asa Fleming, 26, of Bridgeport, was the passenger.  The officers received permission to search the car and located 157 wax paper folds containing a white powdery substance that tested positive for opium.

As officers retrieved the drugs, Fleming took off running. After a short pursuit, he was apprehended on Park Street. Fleming was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell and interfering with police.

Shea was charged with motor vehicle and narcotics charges. She was released on a promise to appear in court.

Subsequently, authorities conducted a second motor vehicle stop of residents of 137 Sherwood Ave. and got permission to search the home.

Police found a grinder and scale, both covered with white powdery residue, and other drug paraphernalia.

Cole Hernandez, 25, of that address, was arrested for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1,000.

Suicide Attempt Outside The ER

9:39pm–Police intervened when a woman who was in a car parked outside the Emergency Room at St. Vincent’s Hospital.  She was with her mother and she refused to get out of the car and attempted to take her life, method unknown.  Police were able to talk her out of taking her life and got her out of the car an to help.

Uncle Beats 13 Year Old

9:22pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police were called by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to Bridgeport Hospital for a thirteen year old girl who was allegedly beaten by her uncle.  A camera to document the injuries were requested to the hospital.  No further info is available.
