Two Gang Members Arrested for Robbery Conspiracy

(Bridgeport, CT – March 21, 2013) – Two known gang members were charged this week in connection with a 2012 robbery that police preempted. Frederick Whitaker, 27, of Stratford, and Clarence Hardy, 24, of Bridgeport, were brought from prison to Superior Court where they were arraigned Wednesday on charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.  Both had been jailed since their October arrest on related weapons charges. Applications Available for Police Citizens Academy

(Bridgeport, CT – March 6, 2013) -- The Bridgeport Police Department is accepting applications for its annual Citizens Police Academy, which is designed to give citizens an up-close understanding of the police department and its efforts to prevent and solve crime and protect citizens.  “The Citizens Academy provides residents and business owners with an inside look at law enforcement and the city’s police force.
