UPDATE–Police have identified the victim in Tuesday evening’s hit and run accident at the corner of State Street and Fairfield Avenue.  The victim’s name is Gerald Hilaire, 60, of Bridgeport.#Bridgeport–When the fire department was responding to Brewster Street they told the other fire trucks to avoid Fairfield and State Street for a police investigation. That is where a pedestrian was struck earlier. May not be a good sign, I know the victim was in cardiac arrest after being hit.UPDATE–Police confirm victim was killed by a hit and run driver.

7:09pm–#Bridgeport–Tough night to be a pedestrian, another one struck at Fairfield Ave. and State Street.

6;23pm–#New Haven–20 York Street Yale New Haven Hospital ER – walk in stabbing victim collapsed. They are working on him in the trauma room at this time. Numerous marked police units as well as Detectives enroute to the hospital

#Fairfield–Board of Finance meeting tonight at Board of Education office has now been cancelled due to power problems. New date is 12/8 at same time but location is still TBD. You heard about this first and only at DoingItLocal.com!

4:55pm–#Trumbull–Report of an odor of natural gas inside Building #4 Apt. 2 at 4132 Avalon Gate.

4:48pm–#Fairfield–There is a transformer fire that is knocking out the first phase of power to 501 Kings Highway East and there are now reports of people stuck in the elevator as a result. This is the office complex where the Board Of Ed is located.

4:40pm–#New Haven–Pedestrian struck by a car at 1605 Whalley Avenue.

11:14am–#cttraffic–2 car accident with a light pole down Route 25 north near exit 2

11:10am–#cttraffic #Bridgeport–Crash at Route 25 northbound near exit 2 and another accident on Fairfield Ave. and Courtland Ave.

10:41am–#Fairfield–74 year old woman crashes her car crashes into a tree at 111 Beach Road.
