Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13  *   Area Stop & Shop Locations
Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s food pantry is running dangerously low.  Please help us Stuff a Truck to feed hungry families and individuals throughout coastal Fairfield County!
On Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13, Mission staff and volunteers will be at area Stop & Shop supermarkets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to collect items the Mission needs most.  Here are the items as well as the specific store locations where we’ll have a truck ready to be stuffed.
Friday, July 12:  Westport – Post Road East   *   Norwalk – Connecticut Ave. and Main Ave.   *   Stamford – West Main Street and Bedford Street   *   Greenwich – Glenn Ridge Road and Putnam Avenue
Saturday, July 13:  Stratford – East Main   *   Trumbull – Quality Street   *   Monroe – Monroe Turnpike   *   Bridgeport – Main Street   *   Fairfield – Villa Ave. and Kings Highway Cutoff
Food items needed:  canned soup, beef stew, vegetables, ham, tuna and beans; pasta and sauce; macaroni and cheese, Ramen noodles; cold cereal; powdered drink mix; coffee
If you can help, bring a bag or two of groceries to your favorite Stop & Shop store – or purchase extra while you do your regular grocery shopping.  You’ll feel good knowing someone on the streets, a weary mom and her youngsters, a senior citizen on a limited income and so many other struggling people will have a nutritious meal tonight and tomorrow because you care.
