5 tips on how to improve your credit scores without seeing credit counseling and spending a lot of your hard earned money!

1.) Get a copy of your credit report & fully review it to make sure everything looks accurate.

2.) Make your bill payments on time even if it’s just the minimum payment. This includes all debt like your favorite store card, your car lease, car loan, student loans, credit cards, etc.

3.) Don’t close out any of your credit cards/store cards because it ends your credit history so keep them open even if you have no balances on them. Use them every so often and make the payments on time.

4.) Reduce your debt on each credit card to 20% of the credit limit. So if you have a credit card with a maximum credit line of $1,000, then try not to go over $200 balance.

5.) Avoid having any debt go into collections! If you forgot to pay a doctors office visit co-pay of $40 then make sure you pay it before it is submitted to a collections agency. Collections on your credit report will reduce your credit scores greatly so just make all payments on time especially the medical payments.
