12:24am–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters were called for an activated fire alarm at St. Vincent’s Medical Center at 2800 Main Street.  They discovered a heavy smoke condition in the basement.  The called for additional freighters to the scene to help investigate.  They discovered a dryer fire near the loading dock area.  As usual the firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.  St. Vincent’s then started diverting emergency patients to other hospitals.
