#Westport CT–Mary Young, Westport Deputy Planning & Zoning Director announced today that on March 3, 2016, thePlanning & Zoning Commission is scheduled to review an amendment (Text Amendment #705) to the Westport Zoning Regulations.  Text Amendment #705 (Application #15-057) was submitted by Melvin Barr of Barr Associates, LLC.  The amendment proposes allowing an alternative housing type; cluster housing. The proposal will allow multiple single-family dwellings, each not to exceed 3,200 SF in size, on one building lot in the Res A  zoning district, provided the property meets specific criteria outlined in the amendment.

All those interested in this amendment are encouraged to attend the Planning & Zoning Commission’s  public hearing on March 3rd at 7:00 PM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium. Copies of the amendment  are available for viewing in Town Hall both in the P&Z Office and in the Office of the Town Clerk. The Commission can receive written comments from the public in advance of the hearing. Once the hearing is closed, no more information or comments will be accepted.
