UPDATE: It appears to be more than a smash and grab.  Fairfield Police says it appears that the lock cylinder was removed.  The cash register and cigarettes stolen at time of call.  There were two suspects.  Both wearing  hooded sweatshirts,   1 with red mask / 1 with white mask.  A crowbar used for entry.  Bridgeport Police recovered cash register at Capitol & Laurel Avenue which was connfirmed to be the one taken from this burglary.

 

 

12:35am–#Fairfield CT– There was a smash and grab robbery at the  Citgo at 2515 Black Rock Turnpike.  Taken was Newport cigarettes and other items.  The suspect fled in a pick up truck towards the Merritt Parkway.
