Valley News: Person Thrown In River

UPDATE: Police did confirm it was a man thrown into the water during a fight. Many of our viewers reported there was a large crowd in the area. State Troopers Prepare for Thanksgiving Holiday Travel & Road Safety

With tens of thousands of travelers driving through Connecticut during the Thanksgiving weekend, State Police are ramping up their plans to keep highways safe for all during the holiday rush. Beginning on November 22, 2017 at 00:01 a.m. and running through Nov. 26, 2017 at 11:59 p.m., Connecticut State Police will supplement its normal routine patrol personnel with additional Troopers throughout the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Across the state, Troopers will patrol roads and highways across Connecticut, and will focus on aggressive drivers, unsafe drivers, and drunk drivers. Troopers are committed to reducing crashes through preventive enforcement initiatives such as roving DUI patrols. Fairfield News: Improvements To Owen Fish Park

#Fairfield CT--The Stratfield Village Association (SVA) held  a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 11 am at Lt. Owen Fish Park, 1401 Stratfield Road, to celebrate a number of improvements to the park which were all privately funded through the SVA, including: • A new toddler playground (the old one was removed over a year ago and not replaced) • Over $10,000 in renovated and updated bathroom facilities • A new trash/dumpster corral • A new, almost mile-long walking trail through the woods behind Lt. Owen Fish Park which connects to the park The new walking trails were dedicated to long-time Stratfield-area resident and WWII Veteran Ed Crowley.
