10:57am–#Bridgeport CT– Witnesses told me that a pedestrian attempted to cross Boston Avenue at Kent Avenue. They said car in the right lane stopped and let the pedestrian cross and that a car behind him allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed swerved around the stopped car and hit the pedestrian in the left lane. They said the driver in a small black car fled down Kent Avenue, the vehicle had heavy front end damage. Police Chief AJ Perez confirmed the pedestrian died of his injuries. Boston Avenue from Kent Avenue to Bishop Avenue is closed for the investigation.
