Ansonia News: Winter Parking Regulations and Snow Removal

Effective December 1, 2020 Winter Parking Regulations will be in effect from December 1, 2020 thru March 31, 2021. There shall be in the city a Twenty-Four hour (24) a day, seven (7) days a week, parking ban on all city streets and highways. The purpose is to allow snow equipment to remove snow and ice as quickly as possible from all city streets and highways, with the following exceptions: For this winter season: Motor vehicles shall be allowed to be parked, starting on December 1, 2020, on the even-numbered side of municipal streets continuing until March 31, 2021. Bridgeport News: Not So Neighborly

#Bridgeport CT-- On Sunday, Bridgeport Police responded to the 700th block of Capital Avenue on a report of a neighbor dispute. On-scene BPD established an altercation between several neighbors. No weapons were present and no parties were stabbed however; there were parties observed to have various cuts and abrasions from a fight. Based on the facts and circumstances presented to BPD, Giovanny Salgado (DOB 10-3-1984) of Bridgeport was issued a Misdemeanor Summons with a promise to appear court date of 12/14/2020, for the violation of the following Connecticut General Statues (CGS): 53a-181: Breach of Peach, 2nd Degree, 53a-61: Assault, 3rd Degree, 53a-116: Criminal Mischief, 2nd Degree. Fairfield News: Larceny And Other Charges

#Fairfield CT-- Christian Rivera-Hernandez (19yo) of Bridgeport, was arrested and charged with Larceny 3rd Degree, Interfering with Police, and Misuse of Plates, after he was taken into custody driving a stolen vehicle. Rivera-Hernandez was also served two active warrants out of Bridgeport, each for Failure to Appear 1st degree. On 11/23/2020 a resident of Kings Highway East reported his yellow Ford F150 which was parked on his property was stolen. That vehicle was entered into NCIC, a database that provides vital information to all law enforcement agencies across the country. On 11/25/2020 Westport police notified surrounding towns that they have observed the yellow F150 matching the description of the stolen vehicle traveling Northbound on I-95 around 2am.  State Police began…

Bridgeport Flu Shots

Bridgeport, CT –The Department of Public Health is urging residents to “Fight the Flu.”  Any resident without insurance can schedule an appointment to receive a flu shot at the Communicable Disease Clinic, 752 East Main Street Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Residents with insurance can present their insurance card to any CVS or Walgreens pharmacy and get the flu vaccine free of charge.  Health Director Lisa Morrissey is encouraging residents to get vaccinated.  “This year, it is even more important to get your flu shot.
