Save Our Seas

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) applauded passage of Save Our Seas 2.0, legislation to combat marine debris. Murphy and Murkowski are both cosponsors of the bill, which was introduced and led by U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-Rhode Island) and U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-New Jersey). The legislation includes a Murphy-Murkowski drafted provision that allows for the establishment of a new Genius Prize to fund the development of materials to replace single use plastic and innovations that remove and prevent plastic waste.  “The amount of plastic flowing into our oceans poses a huge problem. Fairfield News: No Charges After Road Rage Incident

2020-12-02@11:11am-- #Fairfield CT-- Fairfield Police say they initially received a call from a driver who said he was being chased by two cars that were waving firearms. The call started on Jefferson Street, then on to Park Avenue into Trumbull, but then reversed back to Fairfield. The caller said he was rear-ended but fled the scene out of fear of the other drivers. The two drivers stopped that were allegedly involved in the chase stopped after the accident. Police checked both vehicles and drivers and found no firearms. One of the cars had heavy front end damage and was towed to the police station because it had no insurance.

Fairfield News: Stand-Off Ends Peacefully

2020-12-01@10:15pm--#Fairfield CT--Fairfield Police received a 911 call from a victim reporting a domesticaltercation with her boyfriend that was occurring at her home on Kings Highway. The victim was able torun out of the home and call police reporting the violent behavior, which dispatchers relayed toresponding officers.Officers arriving on the scene observed several windows around the home were actively being shattered by aman on the second floor of the home.
