We have all been impacted by suicide and suicide attempts, whether through the loss of people close to us, in our communities, or in the media. Suicide is a preventable public health problem. It is through conversation and understanding that we can promote awareness, recognize at-risk behavior, and reduce attempts at self-harm. Our thoughts are with the rescued man, and with all those questioning their self-worth: help is available – no one should struggle alone.
