Special thanks to our viewer who goes by the name Panda Video. He always send us the best stuff and here he captured the moment of the explosion at Tradbe Facility on Cross Street. Bridgeport Emergency Center said in a statement: Bridgeport Fire, Police and AMR were dispatched and the Bridgeport EOC activated to Level 2. BFD On-scene reports indicated a large active fire locate at 50-57 Cross Street at the Tradbe Facility and a third alarm was ordered. Bridgeport Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Dekalb Avenue Neighborhood

On December 22, 2023, at around 11:00 pm, Bridgeport Police Officers swiftly responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Dekalb Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers located the victim, a 21-year-old Naugatuck man, who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound (a graze) to the head. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital by AMR Ambulance for medical treatment. The Detective Bureau assumed control of the investigation, conducting a thorough examination of the scene, collecting evidence, and conducting interviews. It was determined that the victim, seated in a parked car with friends from the Dekalb Avenue neighborhood, was shot. Milford News: Domestic Violence At The Mall

On December 24, 2023, Officer Robinson responded to a domestic violence incident at 1201 Boston Post Road. The victim reported an altercation with Misael Mercado at the mall, prompting them to leave to avoid public confrontation. Subsequently, as the victim entered their vehicle, Misael followed and physically assaulted them. City of Bridgeport Water Pollution Control Authority Approves New Operator Agreement, Achieves $60 Million in Savings

Bridgeport, CT— Last week, the City of Bridgeport Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) Board voted to approve a new ten-and-a-half-year agreement with Inframark, LLC. to run the day-to-day operations of the WPCA’s wastewater treatment facilities. Inframark, which has been the WPCA’s third-party operator for the last 10 years, was awarded the contract after an extensive bidding process and negotiation with the board. Under the new agreement which will take effect January 1, 2024, the WPCA will achieve a savings of over $60 million (approximately $6 million per year) relative to the existing operating agreement.
