Motor Vehicle Evading Accident Arrest
On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Patrol officers responded to the area of Cross Street and Wilton Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident involving two juvenile pedestrians. According to the initial report, a black Mini Cooper struck two juveniles who were crossing the street and then fled the scene. Both juveniles were transported to Norwalk Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Responding officers interviewed witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage from the surrounding area. The vehicle was located a short time later, and the operator, identified as Joseph Campbell, subsequently turned himself in to police.

Charges: Evading Responsibility with serious physical injury, Evading Responsibility with physical injury, Failure to obey traffic control signal, Operating without a license, Operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Operating without minimum insurance, and Misuse of registration plates.
