Sounds like a child was in one of the cars but is safe and sound according to radio reports.
On the morning of May 31, 2016, Jay Tolisano experienced a cardiac arrest in his Fairfield home after his morning workout. Jay’s wife, Kerry, heard something weird coming from the room and decided to check on him. She found her 39 year old husband unresponsive. She immediately dialed 911. The 911 dispatchers sent the Fairfield Police and Fire Departments and simultaneously notified American Medical Response. Upon the rescuers arrival, they found Kerry doing CPR on her husband with the assistance of the 911 dispatcher. CPR was taken over by the rescuers and advanced life support measures were started by the AMR crew Allen Jelliffe and Tchad Williams. #Westport Connecticut--On 7-31- 16 at approximately 08:30am, Westport Officers were dispatched to the SoNo Baking Company which is located at 44 Church Lane on a report of a larceny and threatening incident. A male suspect had threatened the cashier, stole money out of the tip jar, and fled the scene on a bicycle. Officers located a male matching the description at the Gillespie Center on Jesup Road. The male, identified as Dave Phillips, stated he used the money he stole to buy cigarettes. The cashier positively identified Phillips as the male who threatened to “kill her.” Phillips was taken into custody and held on a $2,500.00 bond. The Westport Police Department proudly announces the addition of Police Service Dog (PSD) Atlas as the newest member of the Westport Police Department K9 Unit. PSD Atlas is a 19 month old German shepherd who was acquired from Grasso Shepherds and will be handled by Officer David Scinto. The team is set to begin training this month with an expected certification as a patrol / narcotics detection canine in October. Officer Scinto and Atlas will join Officer Jim Loomer & PSD Koda and Officer Baker & PSD Chase in the K9 Unit. In response to the recent increase in drug abuse and heroin overdoses in the area, adding “Atlas” as a third narcotic detection K9 better enables the department to enforce current drug laws.
