DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

4:49pm--UPDATE: Police report that the cars have been removed and traffic is flowing on North Avenue once more. 3:49pm--#Bridgeport CT--Two people were seriously injured in the green Subaru after being rear ended by a silver SUV. Witnesses told me they thought the driver of the silver SUV either was intoxicated or had a medical condition, they said the driver was swerving prior to hitting the green Subaru at the interseciton of North Avenue and Dewy/Briarwood Avenue. The silver SUV continued south on North Avenue near the Fairfield town line and came to a stop after hitting a tree in the median.

The presenters for this hour are Nicole Scherer, Teen Librarian and Philip Bahr, Reference Librarian. Fairfield News: Dunkin Donuts Dumpster Fire

10:50pm--#Fairfield CT--Police on patrol called in a dumpster fire behind the Dunkin Donuts at 200 Tunxis Hill Road.  Police question a woman who was seen in the Kohl's parking lot, asked why she didn't report it to the police nearby she said she was afraid because she was drinking in the lot.  Firefighters had no problem knocking it down preventing it from spreading elsewhere.  Police are investigating.

Bridgeport News: Sexual Assault

7:00pm ish-- A woman showed up to Bridgeport Police Headquarters on Congress Street to report she was sexually assaulted in the Bob's Discount Furniture parking lot which is located across the street from State Police Headquarters.  According to radio reports she was assaulted in a white Honda, possibly by a known person.   This report is made possible by:
