9:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- An arrest and a search warrant for the apartment on the 2nd floor rear of 840 State Street has been made in connection to the shooting and killing of a 14 at State and Clinton Avenue this Christmas Eve. A neighbor told me that a 14-15 year old boy lives in that apartment. Police are just beginning to process the scene.
#Bridgeport CT-- Police are investigating the city's 19th homicide of the year on Christmas Eve. One person was injured and taken to St. Vincent's Hospital. Police with K-9 are working a blood trail on Yale and Fremont Street. There isn't a lot of information at this time but witnesses tell me it was a young man that was killed in front of the store with the yellow awning.

#Norwalk CT--On December 23, 2015, Patrol Officers responded to a complaint that two males approached children exiting a school bus on Golden Hill Street. Investigating officers found that two males, wearing Santa and antler hats had approached the children and asked them to have their parents come out of their house to watch a cleaning demonstration. The children quickly left and told their parents, who called police. The men had left the area in a red van prior to police arrival. Investigating officers quickly located the van on Morton Street. It was determined that the occupants of the van were soliciting cleaning services on behalf of Gold Coast Distributors of Milford. One of the solicitors provided his name but intentionally…
On 11/09/15, Westport Police investigated a report of a fraudulent check deposit at Citibank, 399 Post Road West. Artis deposited a check for $6,500.00 from an account listed to him. Artis then withdrew $6,000.00 from the account. Two days later the check was returned due to insufficient funds and Artis never made the account whole. On 12/23/15, Artis surrendered himself on an active warrant for his arrest. He posted a $7,500.00 bond and has a court date in Norwalk on 01/05/16.
Mary Schinderman and her son have created an organization called the teddybearfund.org collecting money to purchase Teddy Bears and donate them to area Fire Departments in order for departments to give a Teddy Bear to children effected by trauma by being involved in a fire or medical emergency, to try to help lighten the stresses that children go through when facing these types of events.
