DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

On Tuesday September 29th, 2015 Mark Connors turned himself into the Westport Police Department after learning that there was a warrant for his arrest. On July 28th, 2015 the Westport Police Department received a complaint of an alleged sexual assault which occurred locally. The victim alleges that the suspect had grabbed intimate parts of her body during the incident. Arrested was Mark Connors (age 47) of Trumbull Connecticut Connors was charged with Sexual Assault 4th C.G.S 53a-279(a) Disorderly Conduct C.G.S 53a-182 Connors was released after posting a $2500 bond and was issued a court date of October 9th at Norwalk Court.   This report made possible by:

On Tuesday September 29th, 2015 Amy Gustafson turned herself into the Westport Police Department after learning that there was a warrant for her arrest. On July 17th 2015 the Westport Police Department received a complaint that Gustafson was allegedly intoxicated and had lifted her shirt during an outdoor picnic at Longshore Marina.
