His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. 2 Yutes Arrested In Shelton

On November 19, 2023, at around 2:15 am, police in Shelton responded to a stolen vehicle report, successfully locating the stolen car and another connected vehicle, which led to a pursuit; during the chase, the pursuing vehicle crashed, and the driver attempted to flee on foot, while the stolen vehicle, in an attempt to escape, collided with a police vehicle; following this, three individuals fled the stolen vehicle on foot, resulting in the apprehension of two 14-year-old juveniles from Hamden after a foot chase; the arrested juveniles were charged with offenses including Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Engaging in Pursuit, Reckless Driving, Interfering, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a license; both were subsequently released to their parents, with one…

Milford Shoplifting

On November 14, 2023, the police responded to a shoplifting incident at Boscov’s. Gail Malloy, a 58-year-old woman from Hilltop Place, New Haven, was accused of taking items from the store without paying for them. When approached by the Loss Prevention officer, Malloy spat at them. The officers arrived and detained Malloy, charging her with Larceny 6th Degree and Breach of Peace 2nd Degree. The bond is yet to be determined, and her court date is set for December 12, 2023.

Connecticut Consumers to Face Slight Increase in Winter Electric Bills

NEW BRITAIN, CT – Today, Connecticut’s two electric distribution companies, Eversource and United Illuminating, filed new standard service supply rates that, if approved by PURA, will be effective for six months beginning on January 1, 2024. These new standard service supply rates will result in an increased electric bill for customers using an average of 700 kWh per month by approximately $6.24 and $18.51 respectively.
