DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Milford News: House Hit By Car, Gas Line Hit

11:50pm--#Milford CT-- A Ludlowe Road home was hit by car tonight and the gas main was ruptured.  Firefighters worked to keep the scene safe while waiting for the gas company to arrive.  Firefighters are still on scene at 2:04am working with gas company officials. #Trumbull CT--A 48 year old motorcyclist died when after a crash with a Honda Civic driven by an 88 year old woman at the intersection of Chruchill Road and Quality Street just after 10 this morning.  Police have not released the identities of the drivers until the next of kin is notified. Bridgeport News: 4 to the Hospital After Fire

#Bridgeport CT--A very impressive display of heroism by both police and firefighters getting everyone to safety after this 2 alarm fire at Bridgeport Gardens Apartments at 223 Washington Avenue this early Sunday morning.  Four people were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries from this fire.  Police and firefighters worked together to get everyone to safety.  We heard on radio traffic that people were jumping from the windows to get to safety. 8:56pm--#Bridgeport CT--A Terrace Circle resident called police that they heard about 10 shots fired and that their window has a bullet hole.  No other reports of anything or anyone being shot at this time.  Terrace Circle is off Trumbull Avenue. 12:22pm--#Westport CT--#Norwalk CT--The Hudson Valley Bank next to the Panera Bread on Westport Avenue was robbed this afternoon.  A white male entered the bank and displayed a gun.  He fled on a bicycle with the cash.  Westport Officer alon with Norwalk K-9 located the bicycle and cash on Renzuli Drive in Norwalk.  A perimeter was set up but the K-9 lost the track.  Special thanks to Westport Officer David Scinto on this report!
