7:50pm--#Trumbull CT--Firefighters were called to 37 Hemlock Trail for smoke coming from a building. Apparently no one answered the door and firefighters had to force entry. UPDATE from Police Spokesman: A 22-year-old man was in critical condition after a hit-and- run accident early this morning.The crash was reported at about 4:39 a.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and Vine Street.The victim, a pedestrian, suffered what were described as potentially life-threatening injuries.The department's serious accident investigation team responded.Investigators learned that the victim was crossing the street when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.
