Westport News: Catalytic Converter Thief Caught After Exhaustive Observation

#Westport CT--On Thursday August 7, 2014 at approximately 11:35am, Westport Police observed a truck in the area of the Saugatuck Train Station driving through several parking lots. The truck matched the description as being operated by a white male suspected in several catalytic converter thefts in Westport and surrounding towns. Westport Police Officers stopped the truck on Saugatuck Avenue. The operator, Clifford St Arnault, was in possession of a reciprocating saw and recently cut catalytic converters. Also in the truck were motorcycle parts and motor vehicle tire rims. St Arnault was taken into custody without incident. St Arnault is suspected in several other catalytic converter thefts. Bridgeport News: Gunshot Victim Shows Up At Hospital

7:30pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police were called to  Lenox Avenue.  A short time later, the department was alerted to a gunshot victim arriving at St. Vincent's Medical Center with a wound to his shoulder.  That injury is not life threatening and detectives are investigating.
