Police Recover Vehicle Taken in Reported Carjacking
#Bridgeport, CT – Oct. 7, 2013 – Police recovered a vehicle stolen in a reported carjacking Sunday on Wood Avenue. Officer Raymond Ryan checked a parking garage on Poplar Street while searching for a vehicle taken in a carjacking early in the day. He located it and the detective bureau seized and towed it. The incident happened about six hours earlier. The victim, from Norwalk, told Officer Donald Matejek that he was sitting in his 2001 Nissan Quest when an unknown male approached, opened his door and demanded his cell phone, wallet and keys. #Westport CT—Officers initiated a motor vehicle stop on a motor home that was observed travelling through a red light at the intersection of Riverside Ave and Treadwell Ave. Subsequent to the motor vehicle stop the operator admitted to having a quantity of marijuana in the vehicle.
