DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. #Stratford CT-- On 08-22-2021 Jeshawn Rogers age 25 of Bridgeport committed a shooting on Masarik Avenue inStratford. During the incident Rogers fired a firearm multiple times at two individuals. The rounds firedstruck a residential home on Orange Street which was occupied at the time. After a thoroughinvestigation Detectives were able to secure an arrest warrant for Rogers as well as a search warrant forhis apartment at 340 Palisade Ave. in Bridgeport. New Pedestrian Laws

Currently, a driver must yield to a pedestrian, slowing or stopping as necessary, if the pedestrian has stepped off the curb or into the crosswalk. Under the new law, a driver must slow or stop as necessary if the pedestrian (1) is within any portion of the crosswalk; (2) steps to the curb at a crosswalk’s entrance and indicates intent to cross by raising a hand or arm to oncoming traffic; or (3) indicates intent to cross by moving any body part or extension of a body part into the crosswalk entrance, including a wheelchair, cane, walking stick, crutch, bicycle, electric bicycle, stroller, carriage, cart, or leashed or harnessed dog. “This new pedestrian safety law is an important step to…
