UPDATE: One occupant was rapidly transported to the hospital due to injuries consistent with a fall from an upper floor window. When firefighters arrived they found heavy fire in the rear of the building on the 2nd floor. The fire quickly spread to the 3rd floor and the attic. Everyone made it out safely. One firefighter slipped on the roof but caught himself with the latter of the aerial truck. He was checked out by EMS and was reported to be okay. There are no reported injuries. WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) joined a letter led by U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), along with 17 colleagues, in calling on the Small Business Administration (SBA) to ensure small businesses receive Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) associated with the COVID-19 crisis and the new Emergency Economic Injury Grants (EEIGs) within three days of application as mandated by Congress.
