HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont today announced he has signed an executive order that enacts a series of protections for residential renters struggling to pay their housing costs during the COVID-19 emergency, ensuring that they will not be evicted during this nationwide crisis and receive grace periods over the next several months. The order also extends all previously enacted closures, distancing, and safety measures – including for schools, restaurants, bars, retail stores, gyms, and other establishments – through at least May 20, 2020. Bridgeport News: Crash With Entrapment

Police UPDATE: On April 13, 2020 at approximately 2:07 am, Bridgeport Patrol Officers responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Barnum Avenue between Helen Street and Central Avenue. This was a single-car motor vehicle accident involving a 24-year-old Bridgeport man operating a gray 2005 Chrysler Pacifica van.  There were no other passengers in the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Barnum Avenue when it crossed over into the westbound lane and struck the abandoned Remington Arms Munitions Factory located at 939 Barnum Avenue.  The vehicle came to a stop in the westbound lane of Barnum Avenue; sustaining heavy front end damage. Bridgeport News: Multi-Town Pursuit Ends In Bridgeport

2020-04-13@1:40am---#Bridgeport CT-- Norwalk police located a stolen silver Jaguar but broke off on I-95 northbound.  Westport and state police pursued the vehicle into Fairfield but lost the car in Bridgeport off exit 26.  An alert Bridgeport Police officer located the car when the "BOLO" (Be On The Look Out) went out near buildings 5 and 6 at PT Barnum Housing.  The suspects fled towards building 12.  Additional Bridgeport Police officers arrived and located the suspect on St. Stephen's Road where they capture 3 suspects.

Norwalk News: Man To Try And Beat Trespass Charges

#Norwalk CT--On April 7, 2020 at around 1 p.m. officers were patrolling the area of Cranbury Elementary School located at 10 Knowalot Ln. Officers were checking to ensure no unauthorized people were on school grounds because school is closed, and observed an occupied vehicle parked on the property. Officers observed the occupant of the vehicle, Troy Musacchio, was masturbating inside the vehicle while watching a pornographic movie on a phone. Musacchio was issued a misdemeanor summons and released from the scene. This incident remains under investigation. Arrested: Troy S.
