2020-06-27 #Bridgeport CT-- Bridgeport Hospital contacted Bridgeport Emergency Centerto\ alert PD that a stabbing victim was at their ER. 'Victim was struck in left abdomen, but non life threatening. Indicated it took place some where on Fairfield Ave near Ellsworth St. DB called to investigate. NFI". Glad they reported this, but never any street robberies, carjackings, home invasions or burglaries are reported. I guess it no longer happens. This news report is made possible by:

#Bridgeport News: On June 26, 2020, at approximately 9:03 pm Bridgeport Patrol Officers and Bridgeport Firefighters responded to the scene of a serious crash at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Pembroke Street. This was a car vs motorcycle crash involving a 2011 blue & white Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle and a 2019 gray Nissan Altima. The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Boston Avenue in the left lane, approaching its intersection with Pembroke Street, when the crash occurred. There are two travel lanes heading eastbound on Boston Avenue at this location. The Nissan Altima, also traveling eastbound on Boston Avenue in the right lane, attempted to turn left (northbound) onto Pembroke Street from the right lane. This blocked the travel of…

2020-06-26@11:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- #ctfire-- Firefighters were greeted with heavy fire on the right side of the Greater St. John Fire-Baptized Holiness Church located at 804 Fairfield Avenue. The fire was on the first floor and basement. Firefighters had the bulk of the fire quickly knocked down within minutes but spent most of their time chasing hot spots.

Police UPDATE: On June 25, 2020 at 1955 hours a shooting occurred in front of 527 Huntington Road. Four victims were struck by gunfire. A 21-year-old male identified as Tyler Ballew of Bridgeport was struck in the head and collapsed at the scene. He was transported by medics to Bridgeport Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Two females and a male were also struck by gunfire while seated in a vehicle. They were transported to Bridgeport Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The second male victim sustained a graze wound to the head, a female victim sustained a graze wound to the head and the second female victim sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
