Jahmari Cooper, 18, of Bridgeport has been arrested in Florida for the 2017 murder of Jeri Kollock. Police say Cooper fatally shot Kollock, 18, in the Green Homes Apartment C and the victim was allegedly forced to strip naked before he was killed. Cooper to be charged with Murder, Felony Murde, and Robbery 1st Degree.
Mayor Joe Ganim joined city leaders to announce the development team in a retail development at 1206 Stratford Avenue which would include a grocery store, Optimus Health Care, a pharmacy, restaurant, laundromat, and a hair salon. Mayor Ganim said the proposed grocery store signed up was Gala Foods Supermarket which has two locations in the city. Demolition of a large area has already taken place.
