UCONN Game at Arena Will Cause Traffic Delays
Bridgeport Police are asking all ticketholders and NCAA Women’s Basketball fans to give themselves ample time to arrive and park at the Webster Bank Arena for tonight’sNCAA Womens’ Basketball Eastern Regional Final between the UCONN Huskies and the University of Texas Longhorns. The inclement Weather and rush hour traffic could cause delays to fans arriving for the game. Tipoff for the game is at 7:00 p.m. with the Arena opening its doors at 6:00 p.m. Once again, Bridgeport Police will be directing all NCAA attendees headed to the game exiting Route 8/25 Southbound left on East Washington at Main Street to Water Street, then straight to arena. 9:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Bridgeport Police are investigating a shots fired incident at Beechmont Market where a black male wearing all black and a white tee-shirt opened fire in the street at 464 Beechmont Avenue.
