Fairfield News: EXCLUSIVE: Police Arrest 2 In Bank Fraud

1:33pm–#Fairfield CT–On 04/05/2017 the service manager at Wells Fargo Bank, 2115 Black Rock Turnpike, called police to report that a male was just in the bank trying to withdraw $18,000.00 in cash from a fraudulent bank account. The manager told the male that she had to verify some things before she could give him the cash. The male then left a phone number and asked the teller to call when the money was ready. The service manager then notified police to the suspicious activity along with the description of the vehicle and its occupants.

Officers located a vehicle that matched the description on Unquowa Rd. near Post Rd. Officers conducted a field identification of the occupants of the vehicle, and the service manager positively identified the vehicle and the occupants as those that were involved in the fraudulent activity. Bond for both subjects was set at $250,000.00 with a court date of 04/18/2017. The case was turned over to Detective Bureau for further investigation and follow up.

 

Anthony Innarella Sr. (03-01- 1957) of Bethlehem, PA was arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny 2nd Degree 53a-49/53a- 123, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 2nd Degree 53a-48/53a- 123, Criminal Impersonation 53a-130, Identity Theft 53a-129a, and Forgery 1st Degree (3 counts) 53a-138, after he went to Wells Fargo Bank and attempted to withdraw $18,000.00 in cash from a fraudulent bank account by using a fake NJ Driver’s License with his photo on it and a different name and date of birth on it belonging to another person. Anthony Sr.also had a Wells Fargo Debit Card and a Capital One Credit Card with the same name that was on the NJ Driver’s License.

 

Anthony Innarella Jr. (08-18- 1984) of Bethlehem, PA was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 2nd Degree 53a-48/53a- 123 and Forgery 1st Degree 53a-138 (3 counts), after he was with a subject who attempted to withdraw $18,000.00 in cash from a fraudulent bank account by using a fake driver’s license. Anthony Jr. was also found to have a fake PA Driver’s License with his photo on it and a different name and date of birth on it belonging to another person, along with a Wells Fargo Debit Card, and a Capital One Credit Card with the same that was on the PA Driver’s License.

Fairfield News: Strange Note Left At Bank

10:10am–#Southport CT– A man walked into Rowayton Bank at 3695 Post Road and handed a teller a note that said this is a real $200 million.  He then left the bank and went next door to a restaurant, pulled on the door handle but it was locked and he walked away.  Police are looking for a white male, wearing a baseball cap and he is about 5 feet 10 inches with facial hair.   I checked, it is 7 days from a full moon.

Sacred Heart University Student Passes

On 03/30/2017 at 7:08pm Fairfield Police Emergency Communications Center received a 911 emergency call reporting a female student choking in the Sacred Heart University, university commons area.

Responding officers arrived on campus to find a 20 year old female identified as Caitlin Nelson (05/03/1996), of Clark New Jersey unresponsive and not breathing. Officers initiated immediate life-saving efforts to the victim before AMR paramedics arrived and transported her to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for additional care.

Further investigation revealed that Caitlin was participating in a Greek Life Organization pancake eating contest. Witnesses stated that she had eaten several pancakes before a nursing student saw her in distress and began to give her assistance.

On the morning of 03/31/2017 Caitlin Nelson was transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital to undergo further testing as her medical condition was declining. On 04/02/2017 at 4:06pm Caitlin Nelson succumbed from her injuries and was pronounced dead by Columbia Presbyterian medical staff. This investigation is still active pending further medical information.

Fairfield News: Smash And Grab

UPDATE: It appears to be more than a smash and grab.  Fairfield Police says it appears that the lock cylinder was removed.  The cash register and cigarettes stolen at time of call.  There were two suspects.  Both wearing  hooded sweatshirts,   1 with red mask / 1 with white mask.  A crowbar used for entry.  Bridgeport Police recovered cash register at Capitol & Laurel Avenue which was connfirmed to be the one taken from this burglary.

 

 

12:35am–#Fairfield CT– There was a smash and grab robbery at the  Citgo at 2515 Black Rock Turnpike.  Taken was Newport cigarettes and other items.  The suspect fled in a pick up truck towards the Merritt Parkway.
