If you go to the town of Fairfield's CodeRED Community Notification Enrollment page (http://www.fairfieldct.org/codered) it clearly states" The Town of Fairfield has contracted with Emergency Communications Network (ECN) to license a new and improved high-speed notification system, CodeRED, which replaces Reverse 911 and provides Fairfield officials with the ability to quickly deliver phone messages to targeted areas or to the entire Town in emergency situations".   Yesterday, I received on my personal phone and business phone a "Attention!  Please hold for an important message" and then it proceeded to inform me of repaving on certain streets.  I also received texts on both phones from the EMERGENCY Communications Network from the same network.   With yesterday's messages not being an emergency, I…

Fairfield News: Snap Chat Joke Deemed School Threat

#Fairfield CT--On 05/01/2017 at 06:13am, the Fairfield Police were alerted by an anonymous complaint that a juvenile student posted a potential threat on the social media application “Snap-Chat”. The anonymous complaint indicated that a student posted a digital picture of an assault-type rifle with overwritten text “Don’t come to school tomorrow.” The investigation revealed that there were two juveniles involved, of which both were located at their respective homes in Fairfield as they were leaving for school. It was also determined that the message was posted as a private joke. The photo was determined to be that of an airsoft rifle located in the home of the juvenile who posted the “Snap-Chat.” Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked…

Riverfield School Carnival May 5th & 6th FAIRFIELD, CT

The Riverfield Elementary School PTA is welcoming back its Spring Carnival on Friday May 6th and Saturday May 6th. The Carnival will be held on the school property behind the building located at 1625 Mill Plain Road. The Rainbow Amusement Company is providing rides for all ages from toddlers to adults, with wristbands for unlimited rides. Along with the traditional snacks, there will be food tucks by Colony Pizza Truck, Christophe’s Crepes, Snappy Dawgs, and Paula’s Ice Cream. The carnival is one of the PTA fundraisers to support children programs, educational field trips and author visits. There will be a craft supplies swap at the Fairfield Wood Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Drive on Thursday, April 27 from 6 pm until 7 pm.
