Fairfield News: Train Stopped Looking For Stabbing Suspect

6:39pm--#MTA--#Fairfield Connecticut-- Fairfield Police assisted Norwalk Police and MTA Police Officers looking for a male in his 50's who stabbed someone on the train according to radio reports.  Passengers on the train from New York was stopped and passengers were not allowed to get on or off the train until the located the suspect.  Police said affter a through inspection the suspect was not on the train and the passengers were allowed to board/unboard the train.

FARMERS MARKET COMING THIS SUMMER TO DOWNTOWN FAIRFIELD

Fairfield, CT – Sherman Green in downtown Fairfield is slated to host a new farmers market beginning Sunday, June 19 th . The market will be held weekly on Sundays, from 10AM to 2PM, rain or shine, and continue throughout the summer. The market is expected to feature roughly a dozen local farm vendors and producers, offering a diverse array of fresh and seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs, bread, eggs and fish. The Fairfield Public Library will be hosting an author talk with Dick Jorgensen on Tuesday, May 17 at 7:00. He will be discussing his new book, “O Tomodachi” in the Memorial Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. In 1954, as a twenty-nine- year-old grad student, Dick was selected to be one of four “ambassador” teachers in a first-ever exchange program with Japan.
