Fairfield News: McKinley Students Pay Tribute To Workers in Mural

#Fairfield CT--For the 9th year in a row, McKinley has participated in paying tribute to American Workers, past, present, and future. Led by art teacher, Kathleen Reddy, and visiting artist, Ellen Griesedieck, this year’s class painted mini canvases, dividing the mural subject matter into small fragments.  The 79 participants will put the reassembled pieces together with some mounted out in front to simulate the 3-D aspect and spirit of the larger mural. This is a very special year for AMP having just successfully matched the Governor’s Challenge.  In May, the McKinley graduating class will visit the Winsted mill where the finished artwork will be installed.  This will likely be the last class to visit before construction begins this summer, raising…

Fairfield News: Power Issues

12:25pm--#Fairfield CT-- A number of power issues just reported in Fairfield.   A burning utility pole in front of 180 Sturges Road.  Also, a blown transformer at  Jennings and Lovers Lane.  Power is reported out in both areas.   A tree and Wires down at 223  Grandview Road.  Fire sparks from a utility polie at Burr and Brookside Drive.  Downed wires in the road arching at 1010 Catamont Road.   This report is made possible by:
