K-9 Graduation

A graduation for K-9 was recently held at Fairfield Police Department for Fairfield, Trumbull, Derby and Seymour.  Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara said K-9's make our department better.  First Selectman Michael Tetreau agreed, citing K-9 Ruger's at his retirement ceremony a few months back.  K-9 Ruger had to retire over health issues.   Frank Reda from Superior K-9 said the benefit is teamwork, that each town will share the dogs and the same training allows police  K-9 to "plug and play", that is each officer and K-9 knows what is expected.   The graduates were Fairfield Officer Kevin Wells with K-9 Jager, Fairfield Officer Evan Kaesmann with Maverick, Trumbull Officer Richard Carlson with Cyrus, Trumbull Officer Gregory Lee with Storm, Seymour Officer…

Fairfield News: One Dead In Police Involved Shooting

6:00am--#Fairfield CT-- Police are investigating that left a man dead after he lunged at police during a domestic violence incident on Mountain Laurel Drive.  The man was not immediately identified.   His wife is in critical condition.  Three children, ages 12, 13 and 15 were also taken to hospital, the youngest airlifted to Yale-New Haven Hospital.  The children's injuries were blunt force trauma and stab wounds.  A baseball bat was involved in the assaults.  The home is registered by town records as owned by Harun and jacinta Keskinkaya.  My daughter a student at Warde High School said counseling is being made available to the students.  She said a classmate was one of the injured but the last name does not…
