Stolen Vehicle Recovered

1:40pm–#Fairfield CT–#Bridgeport CT– A woman was walking to her car, a Mitsubishi SUV that was parked at Planet Fitness at 111 Black Rock Turnpike.  She saw it being driven away when she screamed it was being stolen.  A person already in their vehicle in the parking lot began following the stolen SUV.  The suspect possibly not knowing he was being followed went down Fairfield Avenue to Wordin Avenue and Stephen’s Lane when Bridgeport Police attempted to pull the vehicle over.  The driver took off taking officers into PT Barnum Housing. The car turned into one of the drives when his car was blocked by a Bridgeport Police car near building 21 at Anthony Street.  A foot pursuit ensued and police captured him near building 19.  Yesterday, Fairfield Police tracked and recovered two stolen bicycles from suspect living at PT Barnum.

Avoid I-95 Northbound

#cttraffic–I-95 northbound has very heavy bumper to bumper traffic due to the two right lanes being closed for construction right after exit 27.  A big 3 car pile up happened as a result making the traffic even worse, those cars are being towed at 11:15pm.

 

I-95 southbound has the left two lanes closed in the same are around 28 but there is no back up.

Fairfield News: Attempted Armed Robbery

UPDATE: I just spoke with Lieutenant Perez of the Fairfield Police Department.  He told me that all the info below is accurate but the person fled so fast from the car he left his shoes behind!  So the person was not robbed.

I’d rather be 90% accurate and get the word out right away to warn the public than to be 100% correct and tell you days later.

 

10:50pm–#Fairfield CT– A person walking on the Post Road near the town line was robbed at gunpoint.  A silver car with a black male driver and a passenger that wore a mask had a firearm and robbed the suspect.  They then fled on the Post Road into Fairfield.

1 In Custody After Foot Pursuit

5:35pm–#Bridgeport CT–#Fairfield CT–Fairfield Police had a stolen car pulled over on Brewster Street when the driver took off on them.  The officer quickly got the suspect in custody on School Street.  The suspect also has two warrants for charges in Fairfield.
