3:29am--#Fairfield CT--First responders on scene of a one car rollover on Villa Avenue tonight.  The woman inside the SUV was trapped and police were trying to get her to unlock the door locks to help get her out.  Firefighters came a short time later to help out.   No word on any injuries. First Selectman Tetreau wishes to remind members of the Fairfield community—residents, businesses, and organizations— to sign up for CodeRED to receive emergency-related or other important notifications from the Town. Police Chief Gary MacNamara said, “CodeRed has given us the ability to reach the entire town, a portion of town, or a singular neighborhood with important information in a fast and efficient way, however we cannot inform you if we can’t reach you, and we can't reach you if you don't sign up.” The Town of Fairfield has contracted with Emergency Communications Network to license this high-speed phone notification system to provide Fairfield officials with the ability to quickly deliver phone messages to targeted areas or to the entire Town. The films will be shown on Sunday, October 19, November 9 and December 7 at 2:00 pm in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post In 2002, Les Srager created the Fairfield Plays Hollywood film series at the Fairfield Public Library where he introduced films and led a discussion following each showing. 6:59pm--#Bridgeport CT #Fairfield CT--Bridgeport Police were in pursuit  of a car wanted for a narcotics violations until it entered Fairfield on Stratfield Avenue.  Fairfield Police also entered the pursuit but also broke off the pursuit in the Putting Green Road area.  Police are looking for a dark blue Ford Explorer.   There may be a weapon inside the car.
