Grand Opening of Recreation and Tennis Center

Ribbon Cutting and  Grand Opening of a Recreation and Tennis Center at 210 Old Dam Road, corner of South Pine Creek Road took place Friday night. The Fairfield Recreation and Tennis Center at Old Dam Road illustrates the wonderful concept of a public/private partnership. The Fairfield Indoor Tennis Center, which was located on Old Dam Road, has partnered with the Town to build a new facility at this site that will provide the community with a first-class tennis center, as well as recreational space that will be home to new programming for children, teens and adults. Fairfield News: Fire at the Seagrape

4:45am--#Fairfield CT-- The alarm at the Inn at Fairfield Beach sounded first at 4:45am  and the Seagrape's alarm sounded two minutes later at 4:47am on Reef Road.  Fairfield firefighters were quick on scene and reported smoke in the back of the Seagrape.  They quickly called for more firefighters and called for mutual aid from Westport and Bridgeport to cover their empty firehouses.  It was hard to determine the extent of the damage but the Seagrape was filled with smoke and firefighters were seen in the back of the cafe as first reported.  Firefighters were o scene for about an hour before recalling the alarm of fire.  Firefighters were not sure what caused the fire and the Fire Marshal was on…
