Ribbon Cutting At Cornerstone Medical Training Center
Chamber member, Cornerstone Medical Training Center, is celebrated its grand opening with an official ribbon cutting held on March 30th, at noon. The ceremony will be officiated by First Selectwoman, Brenda Kupchick, and then a second ribbon cutting with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council. Tonight’s Vehicle Fire
How about some likes for a trucker who stopped his rounds to save a man and dog from a burning car. As I first reported tonight at 8:11pm, firefighters were called to a car fire on I-95 near exit 19. As Assistant Fire Chief Gomola pulled up to the scene you can see a truck to the right that was protecting the scene from oncoming cars. Assistant Chief Gomola told me that a trucker from Maine pulled the man from the car, pulled him to a safe spot, and then went in to rescue the man's German Shepherd in the back seat. Honoring the Memory of a Brave Young Boy by Raising Funds for Pediatric Cancer Research
State Senator Tony Wong and Bill Gerber, founder of Team Teddy, attended the St. Baldrick's Day event to raise funds and shave their heads in honor of pediatric cancer patients. The event was organized by Team Teddy, which has been operating for 13 years and has raised close to $1.5 million for pediatric cancer research to date. The motivation for the event is personal, as Bill Gerber's son Teddy passed away due to pediatric cancer. Team Teddy was started in his honor and has grown into a community effort involving volunteers, including children, families, and the broader community. 2023-03-26@12:27pm--#Fairfield CT-- #Bridgeport CT-- A car with front end damage and an unconscious driver came to a stop on Kings Highway. Firefighters immediately began CPR on the driver. Police had dispatch check with Bridgeport to see if they had any hit-and-run calls in town which they did.

2023-03-25@6:38pm--#Fairfield CT-- Today's vehicle fire was located at Nutmeg Bowl at 802 Villa Avenue. The car owner of the Nissan Altima said his son was inside when the engine compartment began to catch fire. There were no injuries and firefighters had the fire out quickly.
