Trumbull Burglary Suspects Similar To Norwalk Suspects

#Norwalk CT--The Norwalk Department of Police Services Detective Bureau is investigating a burglary that occurred on January 11, 2016, at 12:29 a.m. at the Country Convenience Store located at 303 Newtown Avenue. Two male suspects, wearing hooded sweatshirts pulled up in front of the deli in a station wagon. The driver removed a large rock from the vehicle and threw it through the front glass door to the store. Westport News: Burglary, Pursuit, Manhunt, Capture!

4:50pm--#Westport CT--The Westport Police Department received a call from a resident reporting that they had returned home to find an unknown intruder inside their residence. Once confronted, the suspect left the residence without incident. A description of the suspect was obtained and given out to responding units. Officer Morrison observed a person fitting the description operating a black pick-up truck and leaving the immediate area. He attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the suspect vehicle fled south on the Sherwood Island Connector at a high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle attempted to ram pursuing officers prior to merging onto I-95 North. The Connecticut State Police was made aware of the pursuit as Westport Officers continued behind the suspect northbound on I-95. Westport Officers lost sight…

First Winter Storm on our door steps..how bad will it get??

Good Monday afternoon everyone.... ok lets get into our first real winter threat of the season. If we were in February we would be laughing at this storm right now but because it is the first potential threat we are all excited and worried!! Its not looking too bad... yes it will be slick come morning and yes extreme northern parts of the state may see a inch or so of snow but trust us this will all turn to rain by mid to late morning. Westport News: Domestic Disturbance Arrests

#Westport CT--At approximately 4:32am on December 12th, 2015, Westport Officers responded to a reported physical domestic disturbance at a local residence. Connecticut State Police Graduation

December 17, 2015 – The Connecticut State Police today graduated 58 new State Troopers, all members of the 125th Training Troop. Colonel Brian Meraviglia, Commander of the State Police, congratulated the graduating class during a ceremony at Jorgensen Auditorium at the University of Connecticut. Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman addressed The 125th training troop entered the Connecticut State Police Training Academy on June 15, 2015, and spent approximately 1,400 hours in the classroom. They spent many more hours training in physical conditioning, water rescue, driving and other specialized areas of police work. The 58 members of this class began the process of becoming State Troopers more than a year ago. Good Friday Afternoon everyone!! We are not clearing out as fast as we thought we would today. We still have some pesky rain showers off to our south that will make their way up and into the state especially in Southern and Eastern parts of the state. In time we will all clear out!
